Mark Leyes, Republican candidate for the 68th Assembly District, has been endorsed by former Republican Assembly Speaker and current Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle. The endorsement comes as Leyes is gaining momentum in his bid to replace Assemblyman Ken Maddox, who is being forced to leave office due to term limits.
“Speaker Pringle held this seat and the men and women here well remember his effective tenure as a legislative leader and Assembly Speaker. I am proud and honored to have his full support for my candidacy,” said Leyes.
Mark Leyes is currently on the Garden Grove City Council, where he has served for 12 years. His experience with local government will be just one advantage he will have when he is victorious in the next election.
“I am looking forward to working with local officials like Mayor Pringle to solve our state’s fiscal disaster. We must have more men and women who know how to keep taxpayer dollars safe from big spending liberals,” Leyes concluded.
